Health & Safety
Russell Roofing Limited takes Health and Safety very seriously. It is the company’s intention that work will be carried out in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions and all reasonably practicable measures are taken to avoid risk to it’s workforce, clients and others who may be affected by it’s activities.
Management and supervisory staff have the responsibility for implementing Russell Roofing Limited Health & Safety Policy throughout the company and must ensure that H & S considerations are always given priority in planning and day to day supervision of work.
The management and staff of the company monitor the operation of this policy and to assist them in this respect, the company appoints a third party Safety Consultant to visit sites and workplaces to give advice on the requirements of the relevant statutory provisions and safety matters generally. This includes updating any changes in Health and Safety law resulting to our works.
These regulations now implement the EC directive (92/57/EEC) that relates to temporary or mobile construction sites these regulations came into effect on 31st March 1995 and were incorporated into “The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM 2007) that came into force on 6 April 2007”
These regulations apply to all projects where construction work is due to last more than 30 days, or involve more than 500 person days, and where 5 or more persons will be on site at any one time. Not withstanding this, the regulations apply to all demolition and dismantling work.
Health and safety procedures affect every company, every day – regardless of size – and all employers have a legal, moral and economic obligation to ensure a safe environment. Operating for the benefit of Russell Roofing, we work closely with Russell Roofing to provide the advice and support needed to ensure they comply with the latest regulations. We are a member of the Russell Roofing team and take care of the health and safety function for their business.
